Venture Capital in Egypt

is a relatively new and growing industry. Over the past few years, there has been a significant increase in the number of venture capital firms operating in the country, as well as the amount of capital being invested in startups.

The Egyptian government has also taken steps to support the growth of the industry, including the establishment of a regulatory framework for venture capital and the creation of a fund to support startups.

The outlook for venture capital in Egypt is positive. With the right support and investment, the industry has the potential to play a significant role in driving economic growth and innovation in the country.

Adding venture capital to EPEA’s focus is critical to promoting Egypt’s private capital ecosystem. We see enormous potential in funding the country’s entrepreneurs to create dynamic companies that will impact Egypt, MENA and Africa. I look forward to working with the Association to bring this to the forefront of the Egyptian economy
